Privacy Policy

Version 2026-09-05. Last updated September 5, 2026.

Freedom Code Compliance Corp ("FCC," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our website (freedomcodecompliance.com), the myFCC applications for iOS, Android, and the web, the fccPRO and fccOPS applications, and our related services (together, the "Services").

FCC is a Florida private provider firm offering plans review and virtual building code inspection services under section 553.791, Florida Statutes. Our Services help contractors, property owners, design professionals, and building departments across Florida with building code compliance.

This Privacy Policy describes our practices. It is not a contract and does not itself request consent. When applicable law or a feature requires your consent, FCC asks for it separately at the relevant point.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide.

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, company name, mailing address, role, and login credentials.
  • Professional information: contractor and professional license numbers, insurance certificates, and credentials.
  • Project data: property addresses, parcel and permit information, building plans and specifications, inspection requests, photos, videos, and compliance documents.
  • Payment information: billing address and payment method details, which are collected and stored by our payment processor. We do not store full card or bank account numbers.
  • Communications: messages, support requests, feedback, and correspondence with FCC staff.
  • Third-party information: when you create projects, you may provide information about property owners, design professionals, subcontractors, or other people, including their name, email address, phone number, and address. You are responsible for having the authority to share that information with us.

1.2 Inspection and call recordings. Virtual inspections are recorded. We collect the video, audio, photographs, GPS location, timestamps, and device metadata captured during an inspection. We may also record and transcribe telephone and video calls after giving notice at the start of the call.

1.3 Google user data. When you sign in with Google, we access your basic profile information (name, email address, profile picture) and request only the minimum scopes needed to authenticate you and associate your Google account with your FCC profile. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

1.4 Automatically collected information.

  • Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, features used, time spent, click patterns, and app interactions, including session replays of your use of our web applications for support and quality purposes.
  • Location data: approximate location based on IP address, and precise location only when you grant permission. During active virtual inspections and photo capture, we collect GPS coordinates at regular intervals to record inspection locations, which may include latitude, longitude, altitude, heading, and positioning accuracy. Location is collected only during active use of inspection features, not in the background. Photos captured during inspections may include GPS coordinates in their metadata.
  • Log data: IP address, browser type, access times, and diagnostic data.

1.5 Information from third parties. We may receive project records, permit status, and compliance history from building departments, and contractor and professional licensing data from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, county property appraisers, the Florida Division of Corporations, and other public sources.

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 To provide building code compliance services. Process plans reviews and virtual inspections; issue affidavits, inspection records, and certificates of compliance; communicate among contractors, inspectors, and building departments; schedule inspections; and generate compliance reports and permit documentation.

2.2 To operate, maintain, and improve our Services. Operate and secure our platform; develop new features; analyze usage and service performance; troubleshoot issues; and provide customer support.

2.3 Automated tools and machine learning. We use automated and AI-assisted tools to classify documents, assist our licensed personnel in plans review and inspection, transcribe recordings, evaluate leads, and support operations. We use de-identified or aggregated project data, documents, inspection media, and service records to train, fine-tune, test, and evaluate machine learning models and automated review and inspection tools. We do not use your personal information to train models in a form that identifies you. A licensed or certified person makes every plans review determination and inspection result.

2.4 To ensure compliance and safety. Verify licenses and credentials; comply with section 553.791, Florida Statutes, and building code requirements; keep records the law requires; prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; and enforce our Terms of Use and agreements.

2.5 To communicate with you. Send service notifications about projects, quotes, documents, messages, inspections, and billing; respond to inquiries and support requests; send administrative messages about your account; and, with your consent, send updates about our Services.

2.6 SMS consent and messaging practices. When you provide a mobile number through our public website forms, we may ask you to expressly opt in to receive informational SMS messages from Freedom Code Compliance. These website-form messages may include application updates, project status updates, inspection scheduling and reminders, document confirmations and requests, account updates, billing notifications, and customer support follow-up.

Message frequency varies based on your project activity and account usage. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help at any time. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchase.

Separately, authenticated users can choose to verify ownership of a phone number inside account settings. When a user selects Save & Verify or Verify in the account phone-verification flow, FCC sends a one-time SMS verification code only to confirm ownership of that phone number. This verification flow is user-initiated, transactional only, and not used for marketing.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile opt-in data or consent records with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

2.7 To process payments. Present quotes and agreements; process acceptances and declinations; bill for plans reviews, inspections, and other services; charge payment methods on file as authorized; manage invoices and credits; and detect and prevent fraudulent transactions.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below.

3.1 Building departments. We share project data, plans, affidavits, inspection records, photos and videos, certificates of compliance, and license verification with Florida building departments as required to provide our Services. Once shared, that information may become subject to Florida public records law, chapter 119, Florida Statutes.

3.2 Licensed personnel. We share project information with the licensed plans examiners and inspectors who perform our Services.

3.3 Service providers. We use third-party providers to operate our Services, including:

  • Infrastructure and storage: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Cloudflare (hosting, networking, and object storage), and Railway (application hosting).
  • Payments and invoicing: Intuit QuickBooks and QuickBooks Payments, and, where enabled, Stripe.
  • Communications: Resend (email), Twilio and Telnyx (voice and SMS), and push notification services from Apple and Google.
  • Video inspections: LiveKit and Vuspex for real-time video, audio, and media capture during virtual inspections.
  • AI and automation: model providers accessed through gateways such as OpenRouter for document classification, review assistance, and transcription.
  • Analytics and support: PostHog for product analytics and session replay.
  • Identity and address services: Google for sign-in and address verification.
  • Operations records: monday.com and similar business systems used by our staff.

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and to use it only to provide services to us.

3.4 De-identified and aggregated data. We may use and share de-identified or aggregated data that does not identify you, your company, or a specific property for any purpose, including research, benchmarking, product development, and model training. We will not attempt to re-identify it.

3.5 Legal requirements. We may disclose information to comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests; to enforce our Terms of Use or agreements; to protect the rights, property, or safety of FCC, our users, or the public; or to prevent fraud, security issues, or technical problems.

3.6 Business transfers. If FCC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3.7 With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Where we store your data. Your information is stored on servers operated by our infrastructure providers in the United States. Uploaded files are stored in encrypted cloud storage.

4.2 Security measures. We encrypt data in transit using TLS and encrypt sensitive data at rest; enforce row-level access controls so users can access only the data they are authorized to see; authenticate users with industry-standard protocols; monitor for security threats; and perform periodic security assessments.

4.3 On-device credential storage. If you enable "Remember Me" in the mobile app, your login credentials are stored in your device's encrypted secure storage (iOS Keychain or Android Keystore) and protected by your device's security features.

4.4 Limitations. No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

5.1 How long we keep your data. We retain information for as long as needed to provide our Services, meet legal and professional record-keeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Compliance records for completed projects, including plans, inspection records, recordings, and certificates, are retained for at least seven (7) years. Payment records are retained for seven (7) years for tax and accounting purposes. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.

5.2 Legal retention. Florida law and professional standards require us to maintain building code compliance records. We cannot delete compliance documentation that is subject to those requirements.

5.3 How to request deletion. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting [email protected]. We will delete or de-identify personal information where legally permissible, retain only what the law or a legitimate business need requires, and respond within thirty (30) days. De-identified data that no longer identifies you may be retained.

6. Your Privacy Rights

6.1 Access and portability. You may request access to your personal information and a copy in a portable format by contacting [email protected].

6.2 Correction. You can update your account information through the myFCC app or by contacting support.

6.3 Deletion. You may request deletion, subject to the retention requirements in section 5.

6.4 Communications. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any promotional message and opt out of SMS by replying STOP. You cannot opt out of essential service notifications such as inspection schedules and compliance updates while you have active projects.

6.5 Other jurisdictions. Our Services are offered for construction in Florida. If the privacy law of another state or country gives you additional rights, contact us at [email protected] and we will respond as that law requires. We do not sell personal information and do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

7. Mobile App Permissions

The myFCC mobile app may request the following permissions: camera and microphone to capture photos, video, and audio for inspections; photo library to upload existing media to project files; location to record inspection locations during active virtual inspections and photo capture and to verify job sites (collected only during active use of inspection features, not in the background); notifications for inspection reminders, project updates, quotes, documents, messages, billing alerts, and compliance notifications; and files and storage to save and access plans, reports, and documents. You can manage permissions in your device settings. Denying a permission may limit some features.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will update the version and "Last updated" date at the top, post the updated policy on our website, and notify you by email or in-app notification if the changes are material. The updated policy will describe the practices that apply from its effective date; FCC will request any consent separately when required.
