It’s how long a compliant submission with no blockers takes us to review and approve within business hours. Time waiting on you, like corrections or a quote out for approval, isn’t counted.

Common Questions Across All Trades
Can I use FCC for multiple trades on the same project?
Yes. If you are a general contractor or builder managing multiple trades on a single permit, FCC can handle the plan review and inspections across all eligible building disciplines on that project. You do not need a separate private provider for each trade.
What if my work is not listed on this page?
FCC focuses on contractors who repeat the same project at volume, and the project types listed here are that work. If your project requires plan review or inspection under the Florida Building Code, reach out and we will tell you straight whether we are the right fit.
Do I need a different provider for plan reviews versus inspections?
No. FCC handles both plan reviews and virtual inspections as a single private provider under FL 553.791. One account, one app, one team, from plan submission through Certificate of Compliance.
How does FCC handle multi-trade residential projects?
For new homes involving multiple trades (structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing), FCC reviews the full plan set and conducts inspections at each required milestone. Your project stays with one provider from permit to COC.
Is the process different for commercial versus residential?
The workflow is the same: submit plans, get reviewed, request inspections. The timelines differ: residential plan reviews come back in hours, commercial takes 1–2 days. Some commercial inspection types have different requirements for live versus offline submission. The myFCC app handles this automatically based on your project type.
What happens if my inspection does not pass?
